Wisely spend your time at home!
If you're like us and you've pretty much watched all your recommended movies on Netflix and you're bored of scrolling through content on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Then you know it's time for a change in your "new" monotonous routine. As you sit and ponder, you ask yourself, "What new should I do today?" Being on lockdown is a chance to express your creativity and keep yourself occupied. From spending time with family, learning a language to cleaning and organising your home, writing or reading a book, there are plenty of productive things you can do to pass this time at home - Let's start right now!
1 Catch up with your Family

During the lockdown, it's important to understand that family time is critical in creating and cultivating strong bonds, love, connections, and relationships among each family member. Families can use this time to talk and listen to each other, parents can connect better with their children and share important life lessons with them, everyone can show affection, appreciation, and encouragement to on another. Spending quality time with family does help in coping with challenges, instilling a feeling of security, family values, fills children with confidence, and much more.
2 Learn a language

"I wish I had the time to learn Spanish!" Remember the last time you said those words. This lockdown is the perfect opportunity to capitalise on learning that language. With a wide selection of YouTube videos and online tutorials at your disposal, why not use this time to learn a completely new language? Here are some apps you can use to aid in your journey; Duolingo, Babbel and Busuu. ¡Buena suerte!
3 Read a book

Despite the stress of our current reality in the world today, a good book can provide the necessary insight, comfort, and a much welcome escape. During this lockdown, we seek to find any form of entertainment or distraction during our brief reclusion. Reading offers some respite and now may be the time to finally dig into that epic novel in your Amazon Kindle notifications, revisit your old favorites or try a new genre.
4 Start a blog

You can never go wrong with writing a blog. One thing we realised is that this lockdown has bought some great insight to us about the characteristics of human nature. Also, there are several experiences that you can write about during this time. Your opinion on the effect this "break" has on the environment could be a good idea. Whether you're using a blog as an online writing portfolio for a career, a platform to share your passions or as a window to try something new, it's time to get those creative juices flowing.
5 Write a book

"The lockdown of 2020" The headline for Times Bestseller. Now that you have the title its time to fill it with your creativity. The idea of writing a book can often be intimidating. Many times, we've opened Word, stared at a blank page for 10 minutes and surrendered. However, with the right motivation and idea, it can be an incredibly therapeutic practice and one which can help to pass the time. Who knows, you might even be the next J.K. Rowling or George R. R. Martin?
6 Learn to play an instrument

Wipe off those keys from your piano, re-tune that guitar behind your bed and learn to play the notes of a tenor pan. When you emerge from the shackles from the lockdown, you can rejoice with through music. With this much free time, it's never been easier to pick up a new skill.
7 Exercise and/or de-stress

Since we can't go to the gym we shouldn't use this as an excuse to past time by eating. Instead, if we're missing the gym you can always work out at home as it's just as beneficial for both your mind and body. You can try various workouts over the course of the next few weeks through YouTube or Apps to find a workout that really works for you.
8 Clean or organise your home

Spring cleaning, Easter Clean-up or Christmas clean-out whatever you call it, you have an opportunity to tend to all those "out of sight, out of mind areas". We can also organise our wardrobes and get rid of those articles of clothing you haven't seen in years. The options available for the clothing are; passing them onto friends and family or donating them to your local charity
9 Learn to code

In an increasingly digital age, learning to code will always be an asset. Literally, everything that you have interacted with in the last week with an LED/LCD screen revolves around coding. The ability to code can put you at a major advantage in the corporate and tech world. Abandon those technophobic tendencies and teach yourself how to master this highly sought after skill during this lockdown period.
